P-16
Committee . . .
The
mission of the Tennessee
P-16 Council is to encourage school-university
collaboration, leading to increased academic achievement
and success among all students, pre-kindergarten through
college. The goals of the council are to:
•
Work toward simultaneous and systemic reform of the educational
system on all levels, from pre-kindergarten through postsecondary;
•
Provide strong leadership in the effort to strengthen
the connections between PreK-12 and higher education at
the local level; and
•
Increase significantly the number of underprivileged and
minority students who enter and successfully complete
four years of higher education.
