- Approval
from the Commission must be obtained before an
institution is able to begin course offerings.
Institutions may enter into planning/development
prior to the receipt of THEC approval, but they
may not enroll students without formal approval.
- Institutions
must provide documentation regarding estimated
enrollment; costs associated with leasing agreements,
square footage, and tuition generated utilities,
instruction, faculty salaries and auxiliaries.
- The
proposal must include descriptions of the target
population, demonstrated need, documented community
support, and the direct benefits to the local
community derived from the proposed site.
- The
proposed site must also adhere to the role and
scope of the institution as set forth in its approved
mission.
