P-16 Committee
The mission of the Tennessee P-16 Council is to encourage school-university collaboration, leading to increased academic achievement and success among all students, pre-kindergarten through college. The goals of the council are to:
- Work toward simultaneous and systemic reform of the educational system on all levels, from pre-kindergarten through postsecondary;
- Provide strong leadership in the effort to strengthen the connections between PreK-12 and higher education at the local level; and
- Increase significantly the number of underprivileged and minority students who enter and successfully complete four years of higher education.
