Over 100 New Officers Graduate from TLETA on March 28

NASHVILLE – Over 100 newly certified officers are slated to graduate from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA) on Thursday, March 28, 2019. The graduation ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. (CT) at the Al Menah Shrine Temple (1354 Brick Church Pike) in Nashville.

 “The cadets of Class 1859 have demonstrated they have the commitment it takes to serve their fellow Tennesseans,” said TLETA Director Brian Grisham. “In addition to completing their TLETA training, they organized a food drive for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and donated 52 pints of blood during a blood drive with the American Red Cross. I commend Class 1859 for their dedication and wish them the best as they return to their communities and serve the Volunteer State.”

Lincoln County Sheriff Murray Blackwelder will be the guest speaker for the graduation.

TLETA’s Basic Police School course provides technical and tactical expertise in addition to the ethical and professional standards needed to be a successful law enforcement officer. The newly certified officers who will graduate Thursday will join thousands of law enforcement officers who have studied at TLETA during its more than 50-year existence.

The next Basic Police School class begins March 31, 2019.
