Division of Archaeology Events

The State of Tennessee has two State Archaeological Parks and five State Archaeological Areas. Guided hikes and tours of these historically and culturally significant areas are offered throughout the year. Division staff also provide programming related to Tennessee archaeology. Please Note: For most in-person events space is limited and reservations are required. Be sure to sign up by the RSVP deadline. Outdoor may be canceled in the event of inclement weather. If you have reserved a spot on a hike but are unable to attend, please let the hike leader know, so someone on the waiting list may take your place. Events are as accurate as possible but are subject to change. Please check with the hike leader to verify.
