To promote urban and community forestry across the State of Tennessee, we partner with various organizations, including:

Tennessee Forestry Commission

Established in 1985, the Tennessee Forestry Commission advises the Department of Agriculture and the governor on forest policy. This organization provides oversight to the Division of Forestry, including the Urban & Community Forestry Program.

One Tree Planted

An international nonprofit focused on global reforestation, seeking to make it simple for anyone to invest in the future and help the environment by planting trees. So far, they have planted 92 million trees in 80+ countries.

Tennessee Champion Tree Program

The University of Tennessee Department of Natural Resources manages a program designed to identify and catalogue the largest native trees in Tennessee. Their mission is to protect, preserve, and keep record of the largest trees in Tennessee through public education and engagement.

East Tennessee Nursery

The Tennessee Department of Agriculture's Division of Forestry manages the East Tennessee Nursery, which grows over 3 million seedlings each year to support reforestation and urban & community forestry goals.
