Patients & Families
When a loved one is admitted to a Mental Health Institute:
- Mental Health services are provided in a safe, supportive, quality hospital setting
- Patients are encouraged to maintain contact with family members throughout the recovery process
- Visitation hours are offered at each RMHI
- Families may bring personal items to their loved one
As with all health care settings, strict patient confidentiality is maintained. Each patient is provided individual treatment by a team of clinical practitioners that include doctors, nurses, and social workers. Their focus is ensuring each patient’s quick recovery and return to the community.
