Exam Information

Tennessee Board of Examiners for Land Surveyors

The Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) and Principles and Practice of Surveying (PS) are now administered in computer-based testing (CBT) format with year-round testing windows at professional testing venues throughout the state.

  • For the FS, examinees may register directly with the NCEES and schedule their exam.
  • For the PS, examinees must be approved by the board prior to registering on the NCEES website.

NCEES will post the results of computer-based exams 7–10 days after an examinee takes an exam. NCEES will notify examinees by email that their results are available through their MyNCEES account. When an examinee logs in to their account, he or she will see either “Pass” or “Fail” on the screen, with diagnostics provided for failing examinees.

If you have any questions about the CBT process or its registration procedures, contact a NCEES client services representative directly at 800-250-3196 or through the chat feature available on the “Contact Us” portion of the NCEES website.

The Tennessee-Specific Surveying (TS) exam is now a computer based test (CBT) and you can register at: PSI/AMP.
