Performance Based Contracts

PBCs primarily serve the DCS custodial population of children and youth placed in traditional foster homes, group homes, residential treatment facilities, etc. PME evaluates each provider on 6 domains: Agency Level, Personnel, Safety, Well-Being, Permanence, and CANS Consistency. PBC reviews are completed using a standardized review tool entered into Vanderbilt’s REDCap data collection system that produces a final score/rating. DCS contracts with the Vanderbilt Center of Excellence develops, maintains, and leads data-driven quality assessments from the PBC review process. PBC reviews comprise the most intensive and data-driven work PME performs. Overall, PME monitors approximately 35 agencies at 60 locations annually.
