People Talking to People

The People Talking to People project (PTP) is an independent quality-assurance program facilitated by the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD).  The program is designed to improve the system for the people it serves.

Latrese Johnson is the Project Coordinator and supervises 22 self-advocates that conduct surveys statewide.

The interviews are conducted by phone and take 30 minutes to cover 20 questions in four categories; Community Inclusion, Respect & Dignity, Choice & Control, and Access to Care.

PTP represents one of many quality assurance efforts by DIDD to improve services for people with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
