Col. Jason W. Glass is the Assistant Adjutant General for the Tennessee Air National Guard. In this capacity, he commands and ensures the readiness of Tennessee's three flying and two mission support units. The flying units consist of the 118th Wing in Nashville, the 164th Airlift Wing in Memphis, and the 134th Air Refueling Wing in Knoxville. The support units consist of the 119th Cyber Operations Squadron in Knoxville, and the 241st Engineering Installation Squadron in Chattanooga.

Col. Glass enlisted as a traditional guardsman in the Tennessee Air National Guard in March 1989, as an Air Traffic Control Radar Specialist. In May 1993, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from the University of Memphis, as well as his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps. In 1994, Col. Glass entered the active-duty Air Force. During his time on active duty, he deployed in support of Operations, NORTHERN WATCH, NOBLE ANVIL, and ALLIED FORCE. In 2000, Col. Glass left active duty and returned to the Tennessee Air National Guard as a traditional guardsman. In September 2001, Col. Glass was mobilized in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and throughout the next year was assigned to multiple bases across the Middle East. Upon his release from active duty, Col. Glass becamea full-time military technician with the 228th Combat Communications Squadron, which in 2004 was mobilized. Col. Glass led the squadron in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa. In 2005, upon returning home from overseas, Col Glass again deployed to support of domestic operations in the aftermath of Hurricane Rita. In 2006, Col. Glass was selected to command the 228th Combat Communications Squadron, and in 2008, was assigned as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Information Management and J6, Joint Force Headquarters, Tennessee.

Prior to his current assignment, Col. Glass served as the commander of the 218th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group. Additionally, after the Governor of Tennessee requested Title 10 forces to assist in combating the COVID-19 pandemic; Col. Glass was called to active duty on two separate occasions and assigned as Tennessee’s Dual Status Commander. In this assignment, he led all Department of Defense COVID-19 support efforts within Tennessee.
