Bulgarian military officials to visit Tennessee, celebrating 30-year partnership

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – As part of the 30th anniversary in the National Guard’s state partnership program, senior Bulgarian officials will visit Tennessee from July 19-21.

Military leadership from the Bulgarian Armed Forces and the Tennessee National Guard will arrive on a military aircraft at Nashville’s 118th Wing, Berry Field Air National Guard Base, at approximately noon on July 19. During their visit, the Bulgarian delegation will visit with members of the state government, the Tennessee National Guard, and other officials as they participate in anniversary ceremonies.

The State Partnership Program, a key initiative of the National Guard, aims to cultivate and strengthen relationships with allied nations, contributing to global stability and security. Since 1993, Tennessee and Bulgaria have been one of the original members of the program and collaborated in numerous major military exercises and exchanges. Since 2004, Bulgaria has been an esteemed NATO ally.
