Tommy Sneed is the chief compliance officer and director of Special Investigations for the Department of Revenue.  Tommy oversees criminal investigation, vehicle anti-theft, and internal audit functions of the Department. Tommy was appointed chief compliance officer in August 2015.  

Tommy joined the Department of Revenue as a special agent in 2001. He served as a special agent supervisor and criminal investigations manager before being appointed the director of Special Investigations in May 2014. Prior to working for the Department, Tommy worked as an investigative auditor with the Office of Health Services and the State Comptroller’s Office.  Tommy has an accounting degree from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn.
