Local Dual Credit
Local dual credit is a high school course aligned to a local postsecondary institution’s course and exam. Students who pass the exam earn credits that are accepted and/or recognized by the local postsecondary institution. Courses are taught by licensed high school teachers or certified college instructors approved by the school system and the postsecondary institution.

Local dual credit can be factored into a district's TISA funding formula and a high school's School Letter Grade College and Career Readiness Indicator score. Districts should maintain a copy of the score report/score file for the aligned exam, as well as a copy of the articulation agreement between the district and the postsecondary institution specifying criteria for awarding college credits.
