While the rates of teen pregnancy have declined nationally, teens in foster care still experience a 60% higher rate of teen pregnancy and childbearing compared to peers in the general population.
According to the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, youth in transition need information, resources and caring adults they can trust to improve youths' future outcomes .
