Policy Drafts, State Plans and Public Hearings

Thank you for taking time to review and provide comments on the revised TN Vocational Rehabilitation Program Manual (VRPM). The VRPM is a written framework for providing vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities according to federal and state laws. Revisions have been made to VRPM sections to improve the provision of services, employment, and informed choice for VR customers.

Each VRPM section that you review will have a Revision Summary and the revised content in bold text. VR welcomes comments on any and all policies and procedures in a section. But also feel free to target your review and comments to the specific areas in bold text. You do not have to review and comment on each VRPM section. Separate comments should be completed for each VRPM section you would like to review.

Please submit your comments by COB on December 31, 2023. VR appreciates you taking time to review the VRPM revisions and look forward to your comments.

These documents can be provided in an alternate format upon request. If you have any questions, please contact the VR Policy Director Joel.Blackford@tn.gov.

Public Hearings will be conducted on the following dates and places to review the Manual sections.

  • Nashville Monday Dec. 11 at the Tennessee School for the Blind, Professional Development Room, 115 Stewarts Ferry Pike, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.
