In counties and communities across Tennessee, anti-drug coalitions are working to reduce dependence on harmful and potentially lethal substances such as prescription drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. 

Extensive research has led to some simple strategies for raising a drug free child.  One of the most important is to take an active and involved role in raising your child.

Prescription drug take-back boxes provide a place where unused prescription drugs can be safely disposed. 

Count It! Drop It! Lock It!® is a comprehensive community program for prescription drug abuse prevention that began in Coffee County and is now represented in 71 counties statewide.

This prevention program uses small group activities to help young people to recognize and resist media influences and peer pressures to experiment with alcohol, tobacco, and drugs.

The mission of the Prevention Alliance of Tennessee (PAT) is to inform and advocate for alcohol safety, substance abuse prevention, and public health policy concerns to Tennesseans and lawmakers.
