Child Care Resource & Referral Centers

There are 9 Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) sites across Tennessee serving all 95 counties. The TN CCR&R provides free childhood resources to families, child care professionals, employers, and the community that support quality child care for Tennessee’s youngest children.

CCR&R provides families with information about what to look for when choosing quality child care, developmental milestones, social and emotional development, and literacy. Families can contact their local CCR&R or call the referral line at 866-296-3422 to receive answers to questions about choosing a high quality child care agency in their area.

CCR&R coaches provide technical assistance, training, on-site coaching, and resources on various early child care topics that include developmentally appropriate practice, Tennessee Early Learning Development Standards, inclusion, health and safety, small business support, infant and toddler specific topics, literacy, social and emotional support, child development, classroom management, adverse childhood experiences, natural play spaces, and technology. CCR&R also offers CPR and First Aid certification to all Tennessee Department of Human Services (TN DHS) licensed child care agencies.

All CCR&R Quality Coaches are highly trained and educated to provide all TN DHS licensed child care professionals with the technical assistance, training and coaching they need to provide the best care possible for Tennessee’s children.
