Christopher Burkhart

Chris Burkhart is as the Executive Director of the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors. Mr. Burkhart comes to this role after a distinguished and successful career in the U.S. Military.

Previously, Mr. Burkhart served 23 years in the US Army as an Engineer Officer. His assignments ranged from Platoon Leader to Battalion Commander, culminating as deputy director in the Commercial Operations Research and Evaluations Division at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Mr. Burkhart deployed to Iraq twice, once to Afghanistan, and once to Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Burkhart is a native Tennessean and has received a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Science in Engineering Management at the University of Missouri Science & Technology, and a Master of Science in Geospatial Intelligence from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom.
