About
The Urban & Community Forestry Program works with communities and other organizations to enhance urban and suburban environments by cultivating urban forests. Our ultimate goal is to assist cities and towns in establishing self-sustaining urban and community forestry programs, as well as to provide technical support.
Our Programs
We provide various programs and resources to communities to promote urban and community forestry, including technical support and financial aid for cities and towns seeking to establish new programs and for communities and nonprofits seeking to plant trees on public land.
Partnerships
To promote urban and community forestry in Tennessee, we partner with the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council, a coalition of individuals and organizations dedicated to advancing tree care practices and elevating the quality of urban environments. In addition, we partner with various nonprofits, academic, and other organizations across the state to promote urban forestry goals.
